The Dinky Dimples Story
I am a stay at home mom with three beautiful girls. I loved making cute and unique clothings for my kids when they were young; now they’re are at an age where they each have their own style. I, however, still love to sew. So, five years ago, with my husband’s full support, I started Dinky Dimples.
I’ve been selling my creations at local art and wine festivals for the past 4 years. People who bought from me or visited my booth always asked me where they can purchase my products besides the fair. So, in March of 2009 I opened my Etsy shop and offered my unique creations to more people to enjoy.
My greatest accomplishment in life this far is being happy in life, having a wonderful and supportive family, and being successful at what I love to do. Last year, one of my baby bibs (Penguin bib) was selected and featured in the December 2009 issue of Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine. The bib appeared in the Good Mom section of the magazine where holiday-themed items were featured.
In my other life…
I used to work at a radio station (Alice 97.3) as a Traffic Manager. No, I don’t provide traffic reports on air. Instead, I reviewed and scheduled all the commercials that you hear on air.
When my second daughter was born, I decided to stay at home with the kids, so I quit my job and never looked back. I enjoy being a stay-at home-mom and am very glad that I have the opportunity to do so.
Did you know?
I wanted the word “dimples” for my shop because my husband and my second oldest daughter both have dimples. And I love those dimples. My husband came up with the word “dinky” to go with dimples and he’s also the creator of the Dinky Dimples logo. This is how my business name came about!
