Artist Profile: The Patterned Peacock
Born from a desire to make something people didn’t immediately tear and toss (like the gift wrap she designed at her first design job), Dana Garczewski created The Patterned Peacock. The bold and bright colors, fun patterns, and simple yet sweet designs of her art prints absolutely beg us to take them home, and hang on our walls for years and years to come.
The Patterned Peacock Story
“I believe we are all curators in one way or another. We go through life collecting experiences, memories, interests, obsessions, milestones, stories, and favorites. My work celebrates the things we love whether it be a place, an object, or even a color. Each piece features my original artwork and is produced by me in my studio.”
In her other life…
Dana works for a company designing children’s shoes–the really tiny ones that would fit in the palm of your hand.
Did you know?
Dana lived in New Zealand for a year. She says it was an amazing experience and Wellington will always one of her favorite places: “It’s a beautiful harbor city with so much going on yet it still has that friendly small-town vibe.”
